HaB Direct customers using the cobas® b 101 analyser: this is an important reminder that a software update to version 3.0.0 is now available and required to maintain compatibility with the upcoming cobas® click test discs, which are due to launch later in 2025.
Roche Cobas b 101 Blood Analyser
The Roche cobas b 101 is a one-stop in vitro diagnostics (IVD), point of care (PoC) device for the quantitative evaluation of clinical chemistry assays and immunoassays using the cobas b 101 test discs to measure HbA1c (glycated hemoglobin), lipids and CRP.
Why You Need This Update
Roche Diagnostics has released software version 3.0.0 to enable your cobas® b 101 instrument to:
- Support the new cobas® click test discs (Gen. 2)
- Use the updated click QC concept
- Support additional devices such as a new printer and external barcode scanner
- Benefit from general bug fixes
This update is mandatory for continued use of the cobas® b 101 with future consumables. Instruments not updated will show an I-302 Invalid Disc error when Gen. 2 discs are used.
