We want to keep our HaB direct customers fully informed about the latest developments from EKF Diagnostics regarding the Quo-Test A1c system.
What’s Changing?
From September 2025 onwards, Quo-Test A1c Test Kits manufactured at EKF’s Barleben site will feature new barcodes. These barcodes are essential for ensuring accurate and reliable use of the kits.
- The change begins with LOT number 060101, which has an expiry date of 28.02.2027.
- Every kit produced moving forward will include the new barcode system.
- To help with the transition, each test kit will also contain an information leaflet for the next six months, reminding users about the update requirements.
EKF Diagnostics Quo-Test Hb A1c Reagent Kit
Quo-Test HbA1C test cartridge for use with the Quo-Test analyser, for the in vitro diagnostic quantitation of Glycated Hemoglobin A1c in whole blood, for monitoring of Diabetes.
Why Does This Matter?
To use these new test kits, your Quo-Test analyser must be updated to Firmware 4.10. Without this update, the analyser will not be able to read the new barcodes.
This is a critical step:
⚠️ Failure to update means your Quo-Test analyser cannot be used with any A1c test kits starting with LOT number 06xxxx.
How to Check if Your Analyser is Updated
You can quickly confirm whether your analyser has the correct firmware:
- Power on your Quo-Test device.
- During start-up (between 3–10 seconds), the firmware version will be displayed on screen for about 2 seconds.
- Ensure it reads 4.10.
If your analyser is not updated, please urgently contact us or your supplier to obtain the Update Utility Tool and supporting documents.
