Monark 939 Diagnostic Cycle Ergometer
The Monark 939 Diagnostic Cycle Ergometer is Monark’s most advanced upright ergometer, developed specifically for clinical diagnostics, cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET), ECG stress testing, occupational health and rehabilitation. Combining Monark’s proven Electronic Pendulum System (EPS) with advanced wired and wireless connectivity, it delivers highly accurate, repeatable workloads for both submaximal and maximal exercise testing.
Unlike traditional exercise bikes, the Monark 939 offers both constant power (RPM-independent) and constant force (RPM-dependent) modes, allowing clinicians and researchers to perform a wide range of validated assessment protocols. Electronic and mechanical calibration ensure traceable, reliable results over time, making it ideal for environments where precision is essential.
Designed to integrate seamlessly into diagnostic workflows, the Monark 939 supports RS232 and USB-B connections for stable communication with CPET systems, metabolic carts and ECG equipment, while BLE (FTMS) and ANT+ (FE-C) provide additional wireless connectivity. The Monark Novo Duo touchscreen displays power, cadence, heart rate, speed, distance and time, with heart rate monitoring available via compatible ANT+ chest straps.
The adjustable upright frame features a low step-through design for easy patient access and supports users up to 180 kg, making it suitable for hospitals, physiotherapy clinics, universities, research laboratories and sports performance centres. Manufactured in Sweden and certified as a Medical Device Class IIa, the Monark 939 is built to provide dependable performance for years of professional use.
