Accurate lactate measurement to drive animal care decisions

The EKF Diagnostics Lactate Scout Vet offers a new feature of e-paper display which enhances navigation and usability, provides excellent readability in varying light conditions and at different viewing angles.

Simply select the species being tested using the buttons.
Species selection includes:

• Canine
• Feline
• Bovine
• Porcine
• Ovine
• Equine

Results are provided in just 10 seconds using the enzymatic amperometric detection method. Measuring range of 0.5 – 25 mmol/L. The Lactate Scout Vet device requires 2 x CR2450 batteries and is able to perform over 1,000 tests in the field or in the lab, with an operating range: 10 – 45°C and max. 85% humidity.

Can be used for prognosis and diagnosis of a variety of animal health conditions (such as shock,
severe sepsis, low cardiac output, liver failure, poisoning, and drug therapy), assess the effects of pre-slaughter handling and transport stress, and allows performance diagnostics for high performance and race horses

The Lactate Scout Vet does not include test strips, you can order them here. 

Lactate Scout Solution Checks are also available for checking the device is working within the acceptable ranges.
